The best academic model for struggling students

Founded in 2011 by Dr. Jeffrey Kassinove and Dr. Evan Flamenbaum, both mental health professionals and educators, Academics West initially aimed to help socially and emotionally struggling students fit into a typical educational setting. However, they realized that traditional educational models are only sometimes effective, even with extensive support. 

This led to the developing the Clinically Informed Academics® model, which integrates clinical and educational skill development to support Academics West students comprehensively. The model has been remarkably successful in helping students make gains in academic success, leading to a transformation from struggling emotionally to hopeful, motivated learners. The proof of the effectiveness of this approach is in the outcomes. Since its inception, 100% of Academics West’s graduating students have been accepted into college, a goal previously thought unattainable by many students and parents.
